JOB DESCRIPTION: Scala / Big Data Developer

Experience

4+ years of relevant experience in Scala development and Big Data technologies.

Role Summary

We are looking for a Scala / Big Data Developer with strong hands-on experience in Scala, Big Data frameworks, REST services, and SQL. The ideal candidate should be comfortable building and supporting scalable data-processing solutions and REST-based integrations. Experience with Agile methodology and JIRA is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Scala.
Build and support data-processing solutions using Big Data frameworks.
Develop, integrate, and maintain REST services and APIs.
Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries for application and data requirements.




Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable solutions.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, track work items in JIRA, and contribute to continuous improvement where applicable.

Scala Advanced proficiency.
Big Data frameworks – Advanced proficiency.
REST services – Advanced proficiency.
SQL – Advanced proficiency.

Valuable to Have
UX knowledge.
Experience working in an Agile methodology and using JIRA.
PL/SQL knowledge.
