Job Summary : The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, ensuring secure and effective use of prescription and over-the-counter drugs, providing patient counseling, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves collaboration with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Key Responsibilities :
Review and interpret physician prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
Dispense medications and ensure correct dosage and labeling
Provide counseling to patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and storage
Monitor patient medication therapy and recommend adjustments when necessary
Maintain proper records and documentation as per legal and regulatory requirements
Manage inventory, stock levels, and expiration dates of medications
Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, health and safety regulations
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff (if applicable)
Handle insurance claims and billing processes
Participate in health promotion and awareness programs
Requirements : D.Pharm / B.Pharm qualification.
Minimum 0 to 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience.
Sound knowledge of medical terminology and medicines.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ready to join immediately.
