Key Responsibilities
Operate lathe/conventional/CNC turning machines safely and efficiently.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
Perform turning, facing, drilling, boring, threading, grooving, chamfering, and related machining operations.
Select and install appropriate cutting tools, inserts, chucks, and fixtures.
Set machine parameters such as RPM, feed, depth of cut, and tool offsets as applicable.
Inspect finished components using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, bore gauges, and other measuring instruments.
Ensure components meet required dimensional and quality standards.
Identify tool wear, machine abnormalities, and machining defects and report them to the supervisor.
Maintain production output according to the assigned production plan and target.
Carry out basic machine cleaning, lubrication,



and routine maintenance activities.
Maintain proper housekeeping around the machine and follow 5S practices.
Follow all applicable safety procedures, PPE requirements, and factory rules.
Minimize material wastage, rejection, rework, and machine downtime.
Maintain production and inspection records as required.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Production teams whenever required.

Qualification & Experience

Qualification: ITI – Turner / Machinist or equivalent technical qualification.
Experience: 2–3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/machining setting
