- Monitoring live market prices, indices, volumes and market depth.
- Entering and executing client orders accurately based on valid and authorized instructions.
- Handling buy and sell orders in accordance with the client's instructions.
- Selecting the correct scrip, quantity, price, order type and product type before order placement.
- Monitoring order status after placement.
- Checking whether orders are executed, pending, rejected, cancelled or partially executed.
- Immediately informing the concerned client or authorized relationship manager about material order-status issues.
- Monitoring market opening and closing activities.
- Handling high-volume order flow during volatile market conditions with additional care and accuracy.
- Maintaining proper terminal discipline and avoiding unauthorized use of trading credentials.

2. Client Order Execution

The Terminal Operator must ensure that client orders are executed carefully and accurately.

Before executing an order:

- Verify the client identity/account details as required by the broker's process.

- Confirm quantity.
- Confirm price or market-order instruction.
- Confirm order validity where applicable.

- Check whether sufficient margin/funds or securities are available where required.
- Clarify any ambiguous or incomplete instruction before execution.

After execution:

Responsibilities include:

- Receiving authorized client instructions through approved channels.
- Confirming order details before execution.
- Providing trade execution/status information.
- Informing clients about rejected, cancelled or partially executed orders.
- Assisting clients with basic trading-terminal-related queries.
- Escalating technical, settlement or compliance-related issues to the appropriate department.
- Maintaining professional and courteous communication with all clients.
