Job Description:

We are looking for an accomplished VP – IRS Sales to lead strategic sales initiatives targeting departments under the Indian Revenue Services (Income Tax, GST, Customs, etc.). The candidate will be responsible for building long-term partnerships with key stakeholders in the Ministry of Finance, positioning our cutting-edge data analytics, AI, and decision intelligence solutions to modernize tax administration and compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive business growth by positioning the company’s data analytics and AI solutions to IRS-related departments including Income Tax, GST, Customs, and Enforcement Directorates.

- Build and nurture relationships with senior officials in the Ministry of Finance, CBDT, CBIC, and other allied bodies.

- Lead end-to-end sales cycles from lead generation, proposal development, RFP participation to contract closure.

- Collaborate with product and solution teams to tailor offerings for tax analytics, fraud detection, revenue forecasting, and taxpayer behavior analysis.

- Understand and navigate government procurement processes, e-tendering portals, and compliance documentation.

- Manage strategic alliances and partnerships that enhance solution credibility and outreach within the IRS ecosystem.





- Prepare detailed account plans, business forecasts, and MIS reports for leadership reviews.

- Represent the company at government conferences, tax technology events, and industry forums.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA/Public Policy qualification is a plus.

· 15+ years of experience in enterprise software sales or government advisory roles, preferably in taxation, finance, or analytics sectors.

· Solid understanding of public sector procurement norms and consultative selling approach,

· Proven experience dealing with high-value government clients and departments.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

· Prior experience in analytics, tax technology, or government-facing digital transformation is preferred.

· Prior engagements with Income Tax/GST departments, NIC/NSTL, or other digital governance initiatives.

· Familiarity with solutions around fraud analytics, compliance monitoring, and revenue intelligence.

· Strong network within central and state financial authorities and consulting/IT system integrators in this space.
