Job Title: Storekeeper – Structural Steel Fabrication Factory

Location: Ankurhati, Howrah, West Bengal

Working Days: 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday)

About the Role:

M/s Pooja Enterprises is looking for a serious, experienced Storekeeper to run the complete store of our structural steel fabrication factory at Ankurhati — steel, consumables, hardware and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

- Receive material with GRN against PO and mill test certificate (TC); verify quantity and quality at inward
- Maintain stock records for steel (plates, sections, pipes), welding consumables, bolts/hardware and tools — manual ledger and digital (Excel / inventory software)
- Issue material against indent / requisition and keep job-wise issue records
- Maintain heat-number traceability of steel from inward to issue
- Record scrap and usable offcuts; keep offcut stock updated
- Daily stock taking; periodic physical verification and reconciliation (daily / weekly / monthly)
- Prepare and maintain GRNs, MRNs, issue slips and delivery challans for dispatch
- Raise timely reorders to avoid stock-outs; coordinate with vendors and transporters
- Proper labelling, stacking and storage; store cleanliness, safety and internal controls
- Work closely with accounts and production teams for transparent documentation

Candidate Requirements:

- 8–10 years of storekeeping experience in a factory, fabrication unit or multi-item plant (shop / single-item store experience not suitable)
- Comfortable with computers, MS Excel and inventory software
- Must be able to ride a two-wheeler
- Living near Ankurhati / Dhulagari / Howrah preferred; must be able to travel daily to Ankurhati
- Serious, disciplined and responsible; able to work independently and under pressure
