Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Lab Technician – Histopathology to support routine histopathology laboratory operations, ensure quality specimen processing and slide preparation, and facilitate timely diagnostic reporting in coordination with pathologists and the laboratory team.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and routine Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E;) staining.
• Handle histopathology specimens, including biopsies and surgical tissue samples, following established laboratory protocols.
• Perform special stains and support immunohistochemistry (IHC) procedures, wherever required.
• Ensure proper specimen identification, tissue handling, slide preparation, and quality control.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure the availability of reagents and consumables.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, equipment logs,



and relevant documentation.
• Follow laboratory safety protocols and quality standards, including applicable NABL requirements.
• Coordinate with pathologists and laboratory team members to ensure timely turnaround time (TAT).
• Support routine quality assurance activities and contribute to smooth day-to-day laboratory operations.
• Assist in guiding junior technicians, wherever required.

Qualification
• DMLT / BMLT or B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology, or an equivalent relevant qualification, subject to organizational requirements.

Experience
• 2 – 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in histopathology.

Technical Skills
• Practical expertise in tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and routine H&E; staining.
• Knowledge of histopathology specimen handling and slide preparation.
• Exposure to special stains and immunohistochemistry (IHC) is preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory quality control, documentation, and NABL-accredited laboratory practices.
