Position Title: Network Automation Developer

Experience:
5 to 10 Years Work Locations: Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Gurugram We are looking for development expertise on Nokia Service Platform (NSP) development and automation. Looking for early joiners as this is urgent chance Summary The developer will design, modify, test, and maintain service templates and workflows within the Nokia NSP SDN Controller environment. The role supports network service lifecycle management and intent-based networking use cases across transport, IP, and SDN domains, applying AI-assisted development and intelligent automation techniques where they improve service modelling, workflow quality, operational insight, and engineering efficiency. The individual will work closely with the Product Owner, network engineering teams, architects, and operations teams to translate service requirements into automated workflows and reusable service templates.

Key Responsibilities
Service Template Development
• Design and modify Nokia NSP service templates that support consistent service configuration and lifecycle management.
• Develop reusable service models and intent templates supporting customer and network services.
• Customize existing templates to accommodate new network products, services, and operational requirements. NSP Integration & Automation
• Integrate service templates and workflows with relevant Nokia NSP components.
• Support northbound and southbound interfaces within the NSP ecosystem.
• Create automation workflows for provisioning, service modification, and decommissioning activities. Service Modeling
• Translate business and network requirements into service models.
• Design service abstractions supporting IP/MPLS, Segment Routing, EVPN, L2VPN, L3VPN, transport, and SDN services. Model Driven Management (MDM)



Enablement Objective Modernize Nokia NSP service templates and supporting workflows to align with Model Driven Management (MDM) architectures and reduce dependency on traditional CLI-based network configuration. Template Modernization
• Analyze existing Nokia NSP service templates that rely on CLI configuration logic.
• Redesign service templates to utilize model-driven interfaces and data models.
• Replace device-specific CLI commands with standardized YANG model-based service definitions wherever supported.
• Develop reusable service abstractions supporting multi-vendor deployments. YANG and OpenConfig Integration
• Support integration of:
• Native Nokia YANG models
• OpenConfig models
• Vendor-specific YANG extensions
• Ensure templates map service parameters directly to model-driven attributes.
• Validate model compliance and schema compatibility across network domains. AI-Enabled Network Automation
• Apply AI and machine learning concepts to identify automation opportunities, analyze network and service data, and improve workflow efficiency.
• Use generative AI tools responsibly to support code development, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and service-template optimization, with appropriate human review and validation.
• Support the development of AI-assisted use cases such as configuration validation, anomaly detection, intent interpretation, predictive assurance, and operational recommendations.
• Integrate AI-enabled components through secure APIs and ensure solutions meet requirements for data quality, explainability, governance, security, and responsible AI. Expected Deliverables The developer should be able to produce:
