Role Description The Consultant Pediatrician will provide full-time or part-time, on-site pediatric care at Shishuka Children's Hospitals in Bengaluru, managing outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, and emergency referrals. Responsibilities include conducting thorough clinical assessments, diagnosing and treating a broad range of pediatric conditions, and coordinating care plans with nursing staff and other specialists. The role involves overseeing preventive care such as vaccinations and growth monitoring, counseling families on child health, nutrition, and development, and participating in neonatal care when required.



The Consultant Pediatrician will collaborate closely with other physicians and healthcare professionals, contribute to clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives, and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Qualifications
• Strong clinical foundation in Medicine and Primary Care, with the ability to manage common and complex pediatric presentations.
• Advanced expertise in Pediatrics, including acute care, developmental assessment, and chronic disease management.
• Experience or training in Neonatology, with competence in caring for newborns and infants, including high-risk and preterm cases.
• Demonstrated ability in Working with Physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of services.
• Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics (MD/DNB or equivalent), with valid medical registration.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children and families, including providing clear explanations and empathetic counseling.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and adherence to clinical guidelines and hospital protocols.
• Willingness to participate in on-call duties, clinical audits, and ongoing career development; prior experience in a pediatric hospital setting is an advantage.
