Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Sr. Executive / Assistant Manager – Project Mechanical to support and manage mechanical project execution activities for LRF (Ladle Refining Furnace), VD (Vacuum Degassing), IF (Induction Furnace), and CCM (Continuous Casting Machine) facilities in the Steel Melting Shop (SMS). The role involves project planning, site execution, contractor coordination, quality and safety monitoring, progress tracking, and support during commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in planning and executing mechanical works for LRF, VD, IF, and CCM facilities in the Steel Melting Shop.
• Supervise site engineers, contractors, and workmen to ensure timely project execution.
• Monitor mechanical erection, installation, alignment, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure mechanical works are carried out as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules.
• Monitor the quality of mechanical installations and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal departments to resolve site-related issues.
• Track project progress,



identify delays, and support corrective actions to meet project timelines.
• Assist in preparing daily progress reports, project documentation, and installation records.
• Support inspection, testing, trial runs, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with project quality standards, safety procedures, and applicable engineering practices. Key Performance Expectations
• Ensure timely execution of mechanical project activities as per approved schedules.
• Monitor the quality and accuracy of mechanical erection, installation, and alignment work.
• Ensure effective utilization and supervision of site manpower and contractors.
• Maintain compliance with project quality standards and safety procedures.
• Ensure timely coordination with vendors and contractors to resolve execution-related issues.
• Submit accurate progress reports and maintain project documentation within defined timelines.
• Support timely completion of equipment testing, trial runs, and commissioning activities. Required Qualifications & Skills

E. / B.
Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in steel plant or heavy-industry project execution.
• Experience in mechanical erection, installation, and commissioning of industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of steel melting shop facilities, preferably LRF, VD, IF, and CCM.
• Ability to supervise site engineers, contractors, and workmen.
• Positive understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Strong project coordination, problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills.
