Job Summary

Work on embedded firmware and motor control applications, covering manual testing, system validation, hardware-software integration, defect analysis, and validation of motor control systems across different operating conditions.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute manual test cases for embedded firmware and control software
- Perform black-box and gray-box testing for motor control applications
- Validate firmware on MCU/DSP-based embedded systems
- Analyze requirements and define test strategies, test scenarios, and coverage metrics
- Validate motor control algorithms for BLDC, PMSM, and induction motors, including Field-Oriented Control (FOC)
- Test speed, torque, and position control loops under different loads and operating conditions
- Validate system performance under voltage, temperature, and environmental variations
- Verify motor start-up, shutdown, fault handling, and safety features
- Perform testing using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, motor dyno setups, and test benches
- Support HIL/MIL/SIL validation and hardware-software integration testing
- Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA, ALM, or similar tools
- Analyze logs, signals, and waveforms and support root-cause analysis
- Maintain test documentation, traceability matrices, validation reports, and quality metrics
- Collaborate with embedded developers,

Required Skills Qualifications

- Strong understanding of embedded systems and microcontrollers such as ARM and TI C2000
- Hands-on experience in manual testing of embedded firmware
- Strong knowledge of motor control systems and power electronics
- Understanding of PWM, ADC, encoders, Hall sensors, and feedback systems
- Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
- Knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, and CAN protocols
- Strong experience in functional, system integration, and regression testing
- Strong analytical, debugging, documentation, and communication skills
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field

Positive to Have

- Python/PyTest or exposure to test automation
- MATLAB/Simulink experience
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR and ISO 26262 Functional Safety
- Experience with power tools, industrial drives, or automotive ECUs
- Exposure to CI/CD and test automation tools
