About the Role:

Smart Solar is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Senior Manager – Solar Projects to lead the planning, engineering, execution, and commissioning of Ground-Mounted, C&I;, Open Access, and PM-KUSUM solar projects.

The selected candidate will manage projects from initial planning and engineering through execution, grid synchronisation, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end execution of utility-scale Ground-Mounted and C&I; Solar EPC projects.

- Prepare and monitor project schedules, execution plans, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Manage civil, MMS, module installation, DC, AC, HT, transmission, and evacuation works.
- Coordinate engineering activities, including layouts, SLDs, BOQ/BOM, cable sizing, and technical drawings.
- Handle Open Access and grid connectivity activities with relevant utilities and authorities.
- Coordinate statutory approvals involving CEIG, DISCOM, GRIDCO/OPTCL, and other applicable agencies.
- Manage PM-KUSUM and other government/utility solar projects.
- Lead contractors, subcontractors, vendors, site engineers, and project teams.
- Monitor project costs, productivity, quality, safety, and execution timelines.
- Conduct project review meetings and ensure achievement of project milestones.
- Manage material planning, procurement coordination, and site logistics.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, grid synchronization, and project handover.
- Handle client communication, billing milestones,



RA bill coordination, and project documentation.
- Identify project risks, delays, and cost overruns and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable MNRE, CEA, DISCOM, and EHS requirements.

Required Experience & Skills

✓ 10+ years of experience in Solar EPC / Renewable Energy Project Management

✓ Strong experience in large Ground-Mounted Solar Projects

✓ Experience in C&I; and Open Access projects preferred

✓ Knowledge of PM-KUSUM projects will be an advantage

✓ Strong understanding of Civil, MMS, DC, AC, HT, and evacuation systems

✓ Knowledge of project costing, BOQ/BOM, and budgeting

✓ Experience in grid connectivity, statutory approvals, and commissioning

✓ Ability to independently manage multiple project sites

✓ Strong contractor, vendor, and manpower management skills

✓ Excellent client coordination, leadership, and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Technical KnowledgePVsyst | AutoCAD | MS Project | Solar EPC Engineering | BOQ/BOM | SLD | Project Planning | Cost Control | Testing & Commissioning

Qualification:

B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, or a relevant Engineering discipline.
