- Machine Setup & Programming:
- Load and retrieve cutting programs or CAD/CAM files (such as Trumpf, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks).
- Configure machine parameters, including laser power, cutting speed, focal point, and gas/nozzle selection.
- Secure raw materials (steel, aluminum) onto the machine bed.
- Operation & Production:
- Load and unload raw sheets and finished components, using EOT Crane for heavy loads.
- Monitor the laser cutting process in real time to ensure smooth performance.
- Adjust settings on the fly to resolve minor cutting issues or material anomalies.
- Quality Control & Inspection:
- Inspect finished parts using precision measurement tools against technical drawings and job travelers.
- Sort, deburr, or route finished items to subsequent assembly or shipping departments.
- Identify and report defective materials or machine errors to a supervisor.
- Maintenance & Housekeeping:
- Perform daily or scheduled preventive maintenance, including cleaning optics, lenses, and nozzles.
- Empty dust collectors, check ventilation/fume extraction systems, and maintain clean logs.
- Keep the workspace organized and adhere to factory safety guidelines.
