Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Master Data Management professional to manage Vendor, Supplier, Customer, Material, and Article Master Data in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end master data governance, data quality, workflow approvals, migration support, and process improvements while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure end-to-end governance of Supplier/Vendor and Customer Master Data, including creation, validation, enrichment, modification, and approval workflows.
- Create, validate, and modify Material Master and Article Master Data in SAP systems.
- Perform periodic data quality checks, data cleansing, and validation to maintain accuracy and consistency across SAP ECC and S/4HANA systems.
- Handle SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) change requests, duplicate checks, conflict resolution, and impact analysis before data activation.
- Coordinate with Business, Procurement, Finance, Stores, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate master data and smooth workflow approvals.
- Perform mass uploads and bulk data updates using LSMW and other relevant SAP tools.
- Support data migration activities during SAP ECC to S/4HANA system transitions.
- Verify vendor details, including GST, PAN, bank details, payment terms, and other statutory information, as applicable.




- Maintain material master attributes, including material descriptions, material groups, units of measurement, and purchasing-related data.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, SOPs, and master data governance standards.
- Identify and resolve critical master data issues, discrepancies, duplicate records, and data inconsistencies.
- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve data quality.
- Maintain proper documentation, audit trails, and reports for master data changes and governance activities.

Required Skills
- 4–6 years of experience in Master Data Management, preferably handling Vendor, Customer, Material, and Article Master Data.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
- Knowledge of SAP MDG, including change requests, workflow approvals, data validation, and governance processes.
- Experience with LSMW tools and mass data uploads.
- Understanding of master data migration, data cleansing, duplicate management, and data quality controls.
- Knowledge of procurement, vendor onboarding, and material master processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and understanding of audit and compliance requirements.

Educational Qualification
- Graduate in B.Com, BBA, B.Sc., or any relevant discipline.
- Candidates with experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or large enterprise SAP environments will be preferred.
