Key Responsibilities – VMC Setter / OperatorPerform VMC machine setup for current jobs, including tool setting, fixture alignment, and workpiece clamping. Operate VMC machines for batch production as per production requirements. Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and machining instructions.

Set tool offsets, work offsets, and make minor program corrections if required. Monitor machine performance, cycle time, and production output. Perform in-process inspection using appropriate measuring instruments.

Maintain daily production records as per ISO documentation requirements. Ensure proper machine maintenance, housekeeping, and cleanliness. Minimize rejection and rework by maintaining process control and dimensional accuracy.

Ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved.

Technical Skills

RequiredHands-on experience in VMC machine setting and operation.



Knowledge of Fanuc / Siemens controllers (Siemens 828D preferred). Knowledge of CNC programming and editing is an added advantage. Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.;

Experience in batch production and job changeover activities. Knowledge of cutting tools, tool holders, work offsets, and machining parameters.

Experience using measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, and Height Gauge. Knowledge of machining processes, tooling selection, and troubleshooting. QualificationITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 3–6 years of experience in the CNC/VMC machining industry.

Experience in VMC setting and operation is preferred.
