Job Title: Live Underwriter US Mortgage

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES

Manage end-to-end US Mortgage Underwriting operations, ensuring productivity, quality, and service level adherence. Handle client escalations, resolve critical underwriting issues, and drive root cause analysis and corrective action plans. Monitor pipeline management, workload distribution, capacity planning, and turnaround times to ensure timely loan decisions and delivery.

Partner with clients, internal stakeholders, Quality, Training, Workforce Management, HR, and Technology teams to ensure seamless operations.Support operations with analysis of reports including process dashboards, team performance reports, etcManage attendance & attendance incentive for the team. Managing periodic shift level projects/initiatives & responsible for the administrative aspects of the group/shift. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including Quality, Turnaround Time (TAT), Productivity, Accuracy, SLA compliance, and Client Satisfaction.

Drive adherence to investor, agency, and client-specific underwriting guidelines for all loan programs.



Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, regulatory guidelines, and information security standards. Manage attrition, absenteeism, employee engagement, succession planning.

CRITICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

Solid knowledge of US Residential Mortgage Underwriting, including credit analysis, income calculation, asset review, collateral evaluation, and risk assessment.Excellent verbal & written communication & presentation skills.Good Interpersonal & people management skills with good problem solving approach.

Experience working with Loan Origination Systems (LOS), Mortgage Workflow Platforms, and underwriting tools. Proven experience in managing large operational teams within a Mortgage Processing or Underwriting environment.Ability to exercise managerial judgment and perform as a mentor. Prior experience managing Underwriting, Credit Decisioning, or Mortgage Fulfillment teams in a BPO/Shared Services environment.
