UK Accounts & Tax Associate — 2 Openings

Salary: ₹30,000–₹35,000 per month

Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on UK accounting and tax experience

About the role

We are looking for two detail-oriented accounting professionals to support our UK client work. You should have practical experience using Xero, understand relevant HMRC processes and be able to prepare accurate work for review.

Key responsibilities

- Maintain bookkeeping records in Xero, including sales, purchases, receipts and payments.
- Complete bank, credit card and control account reconciliations.
- Review ledgers, investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting queries.
- Prepare UK VAT returns and supporting reconciliations for review.
- Assist with year-end accounts, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation and supporting schedules.
- Prepare corporation tax computations and supporting information for review.
- Support Self Assessment tax returns and/or UK payroll, depending on experience.
- Track deadlines, maintain clear working papers and communicate missing-information requests.
- Handle client information confidentially and escalate uncertain accounting or tax matters.

Essential requirements





- 1–2 years of practical experience working on UK client accounts.
- Hands-on knowledge of Xero and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of UK bookkeeping, VAT and relevant HMRC procedures.
- Experience preparing year-end accounts and supporting UK tax work.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and ownership of deadlines.
- Transparent written and verbal English.
- Ability to work from our Ahmedabad office.

Additional experience welcomed

- Self Assessment preparation and/or UK payroll processing.
- Experience using UK accounts production, tax or payroll software.
- B.Com, M.Com, ACCA studies or a relevant accounting qualification.
