Role Description The TGT Art & Craft role is a full-time, on-site teaching position based at Delhi Public School Dwarka Expressway in Gurugram. The educator will plan and deliver engaging art and craft lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum for middle school learners, using diverse techniques and materials to foster creativity and aesthetic appreciation. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, organizing classroom activities and displays, assessing student work, and providing constructive feedback to support skill development.

The role involves coordinating art-related events, exhibitions, and competitions, maintaining art supplies and resources,



and collaborating with other faculty members to integrate art into interdisciplinary learning. The teacher is also expected to uphold school policies, participate in career development, and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Art and Painting, including drawing, sketching, coloring, and craft-based techniques.
- Candidates should possess creative competencies in Art Direction and Graphics for planning visual displays, exhibitions, and classroom presentations.
- Candidates should possess an appreciation or basic skills in Music to support integrated, multi-disciplinary art activities.
- Relevant academic qualification in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Art & Craft, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent); B.Ed. or formal teacher training is preferred.
- Previous experience teaching Art & Craft at school level, with the ability to manage classrooms and adapt methods to different learning styles.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills, along with the ability to inspire creativity and maintain a safe, inclusive studio environment.
- Proficiency in planning lessons, assessing student progress, and using basic digital tools for presentations or visual references.
