Job Brief : We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Technician to join our Facilities Services team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of fire safety systems across various client sites. This role demands a thorough understanding of fire safety regulations, technical expertise in fire detection and suppression equipment, and the ability to ensure compliance with national safety standards.

The candidate will work closely with facility managers and safety officers to enhance fire protection measures, minimize risks, and ensure the safety of personnel and property. This position requires hands-on technical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and a proactive approach to fire safety management within a dynamic facilities services environment.

Responsibilities

- Perform routine inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, and other fire suppression equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in fire safety systems and execute timely repairs or replacements to maintain compliance with safety standards.
- Install recent fire detection and suppression systems according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all fire safety equipment inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs in compliance with company and legal standards.
- Collaborate with facility management and safety teams to conduct fire risk assessments and recommend improvements to fire safety protocols.




- Ensure all fire safety systems meet the requirements of the National Building Code of India and other relevant fire safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to fire safety emergencies and provide technical support during fire drills and actual incidents.
- Train facility staff on the proper use and maintenance of fire safety equipment and emergency response procedures.
- Coordinate with external fire safety auditors and regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.
- Stay updated with the latest fire safety technologies, industry best practices, and regulatory changes to continuously improve fire safety measures.

Qualifications :
- Diploma or degree in Fire Safety Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Certification in fire safety systems installation and maintenance from recognized institutions or authorities.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire safety system maintenance and troubleshooting within the facilities services or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of Indian fire safety codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in using fire safety testing tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience working with diverse fire protection systems including conventional and addressable fire alarm panels.
- Good communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
