Role Description The Swim Instructor is a contractual (full-time can be discussed), on-site role based in Thane / Mumbai, responsible for delivering high-quality swim lessons to children, youth, and adults across varying skill levels. Daily responsibilities include planning and conducting structured swimming sessions, teaching safe and effective techniques, and building water confidence in learners from first strokes to more advanced skills.

The role involves monitoring swimmer progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining clear records of development.

The Swim

Instructor will also help ensure a safe aquatic environment by following safety protocols,



supporting basic lifeguarding practices as needed, and communicating effectively with learners, caregivers, and team members. Collaboration with the broader JD coaching team to uphold standards of excellence and professionalism is an integral part of this role.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Swim Instruction and Swim Lessons skills, with experience teaching different age groups and ability levels.
- Candidates should possess solid Swimming and Aquatics skills, including mastery of fundamental strokes and water safety techniques.
- Candidates should possess Lifeguarding skills, including knowledge of pool safety procedures, emergency response, and basic first aid/CPR.
- Prior experience as a swim coach, instructor, or lifeguard in a structured training environment is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in swimming instruction, lifeguarding, and CPR/first aid are highly beneficial.
- Strong communication, patience, and the ability to motivate and support learners in a positive, inclusive manner.
- Willingness to work in office in Thane / Mumbai, including weekends as per class schedules.
