• Responsible for Purchase of Laboratory items & Non-Medical Items (Like Housekeeping, Marketing, Linen, uniforms, Printing, Stationery, Engineering & general items etc.

• Positive Negotiation & communication skills

• Preparation of purchase orders and amendment orders

• Process indents by requesting quotations, preparing comparative statements and to assist Incharge for finalizing orders

• Expedite orders and follow-up on suppliers

• Coordinate with stores / user departments on the purchase requirements

• Prepare correspondence relating to the purchase of materials, requiring some independence of judgement

• Compile, compute and tabulate the data for reports to be generated for MIS

- Maintain records and files

• Collect information on products and keep the superiors informed of the market trend

• Coordinate with accounts and receiving section in settling payment to the suppliers

• Perform related work as required by the department
