- Plan, coordinate and monitor day-to-day machine shop activities as per production priorities, job requirements and delivery schedules.

- Execute machining operations using conventional and CNC machines, such as turning, milling, drilling, boring, facing, grinding and other applicable processes.

- Review engineering drawings, component specifications, machining allowances, tolerances and surface-finish requirements before execution.

- Select suitable machining processes, cutting tools, fixtures, tool holders and machining parameters to achieve required accuracy and productivity.

- Ensure correct job identification, material verification and traceability throughout machining operations.

- Monitor machining quality through dimensional inspection using appropriate measuring instruments and gauges.

- Coordinate with Design/Engineering, Production, Quality, Maintenance, Planning and Stores for drawings, material availability, technical clarifications and job completion.

- Monitor machine performance, tool consumption, cycle time, rejection, rework and downtime, and take corrective action to improve operational efficiency.





- Ensure machine readiness, tooling availability, preventive maintenance coordination and timely resolution of machine-related issues.

- Implement standard operating procedures, process controls, 5S, TPM, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

- Ensure adherence to safety requirements, machine guarding, secure material handling and prescribed operating procedures.

- Maintain machining records, inspection reports, tool-life records, production data and job completion documentation.
