The Store

Cashier is responsible for accurately processing customer purchases, handling cash, card, and digital payments, and issuing receipts. The role includes maintaining the cash register, balancing the till at the start and end of shifts, and following store policies for returns, exchanges, and discounts.

Cashier greets customers, answers basic product and pricing questions, and coordinates with store staff to ensure a smooth checkout experience. Additional responsibilities may include maintaining cleanliness at the checkout area, restocking small items near the counter, and reporting any discrepancies or technical issues with the register system.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong cash-handling and basic math skills, with the ability to manage transactions accurately and efficiently.

- Prior experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn and follow training is essential.
- Minimum high school education (or equivalent) and the ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine physical tasks at the checkout counter.
