Role Summary
ChargePoint is seeking an experienced Quote-to-Cash (QTC) Systems Engineer to join our dynamic Sales Operations team. In this role, you will apply deep CPQ expertise to shape the underlying principles of product configuration, pricing, approvals, and revenue recognition that power our global sales engine. This is a hands-on builder role where you will partner closely with Sales, Finance, and RevOps to design scalable quoting and pricing solutions, evaluate platforms, and drive cutting-edge AI tooling into our workflows to relentlessly pursue awesome outcomes for our customers.
What You Will Be Doing
You will serve as a technical anchor for our CPQ infrastructure, translating complex business quoting and pricing requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions. Day-to-day, you will manage end-to-end CPQ functionality, including configuration, automation, and custom development, while actively contributing to platform evaluation and migration strategies. Success in your first 6-12 months means seamlessly integrating AI-assisted tooling into our workflows, stabilizing and scaling our pricing models, and establishing yourself as a trusted technical partner across our enterprise Agile environment.
- Translate complex quoting and pricing requirements from Sales, Finance,
and RevOps into technical solutions, covering configuration, automation, and custom development.
- Design and implement scalable pricing models, product catalogs, discount structures, and advanced approval workflows for subscriptions, co-terming, amendments, and renewals.
- Own CPQ functionality end-to-end, actively managing configurator logic, pricing rules, approval chains, and output templates.
- Leverage AI-assisted and vibe coding tools to build, prototype, and iterate rapidly, driving efficiency in Salesforce or alternative platforms.
- Lead critical gap analyses and create comprehensive as-is/to-be documentation to support platform evaluation and migration strategies.
- Architect seamless integration designs connecting quoting systems with ERP, billing, and order management platforms.
- Collaborate across an Agile workplace, actively supporting successful go-lives, leading user training sessions, and documenting system builds.
- Drive continuous improvement in deployment processes using release management tools, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based version control.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders, comfortably whiteboarding complex solutions with architects while translating processes for sales executives.
Requirements
- 6-10 years of experience implementing complex CPQ solutions,
with meaningful time spent on Salesforce CPQ or comparable enterprise platforms.
- Deep understanding of CPQ fundamentals, including pricing waterfall logic, multi-tier discounting, subscription models, advanced approvals, co-terming, and renewals.
- Development fluency in at least one major quoting platform (e.g., Salesforce Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, Flow Builder) or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience integrating quoting systems with enterprise ERP and billing ecosystems.
- Proficiency in release management using tools such as Copado, AutoRabit, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate technical strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated use of AI-assisted coding environments (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Replit Agent) to build or prototype quoting solutions, including a strong perspective on where these tools accelerate delivery and where guardrails are needed.
- Background working in a high-growth B2B SaaS or hardware-software company managing deal complexity (enterprise licensing, channel/partner quoting, multi-currency).
- Experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud Advanced (RCA) or active participation in a large-scale CPQ migration project.
