Role Description The Sr.

Fibre Composition

Technician (Textile) is a full time, on-site role based in Ludhiana. This role involves conducting fibre composition analysis on textile samples using standardized test methods and laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate identification of fibre types and blends. The technician will prepare and condition samples, record test results, maintain detailed documentation, and support test report generation in line with internal and client requirements.

Day-to-day responsibilities include calibrating and maintaining laboratory instruments, following safety and quality protocols, and collaborating with team members to resolve technical issues and improve testing processes. The role also includes assisting in method validation, training junior staff on fibre testing procedures,



and supporting audits and compliance activities as needed.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong textile testing and fibre identification skills, including familiarity with fibre composition analysis methods and standards.
- Candidates should possess practical laboratory skills, including sample preparation, use of analytical instruments, data recording, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Candidates should possess quality and documentation skills, such as maintaining accurate records, following SOPs, and supporting compliance with industry and client requirements.
- Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret test results, troubleshoot discrepancies, and contribute to process improvements.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Textile Technology, Textile Chemistry, or a related field, with prior experience in a textile testing laboratory at a senior or lead level.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to work effectively in an on-site, team-based laboratory environment in Ludhiana.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for reporting, coordination with internal stakeholders, and occasional client interactions.
- Experience with testing standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM, or equivalent textile standards) and participation in internal or external audits will be considered an advantage.
