Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Sr. Executive – Quality Assurance & Inspection Oversight (SMS Electrical) to oversee electrical and instrumentation (E&I;) quality, preventive maintenance activities, and related inspection work within the Steel Melting Shop (SMS). The role involves monitoring maintenance quality, ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety requirements, inspecting electrical installations and equipment, and coordinating with concerned departments to maintain reliable and effective plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor electrical and instrumentation (E&I;) quality across SMS electrical systems and equipment.
- Conduct inspections to ensure electrical installations and maintenance activities meet specified quality standards.
- Monitor preventive maintenance activities and verify compliance with approved maintenance procedures.
- Identify quality deviations, equipment abnormalities, and maintenance-related issues, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Ensure electrical maintenance work is carried out as per technical specifications, safety standards,



and established procedures.
- Maintain inspection reports, preventive maintenance records, checklists, and quality-related documentation.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and other departments to resolve electrical quality and inspection issues.
- Support troubleshooting, corrective maintenance, and other miscellaneous electrical maintenance activities as required.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and applicable ISO, IMS, and EHS requirements.
- Follow up on inspection findings and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.

Key Performance Expectations

- Ensure electrical and instrumentation maintenance work meets defined quality standards.
- Complete inspections as per approved schedules and maintain accurate inspection records.
- Ensure timely execution and verification of preventive maintenance activities.
- Identify and report quality deviations promptly and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality and maintenance documentation.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and applicable quality management standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation quality assurance, inspection, and preventive maintenance.
- Understanding of electrical equipment, maintenance procedures, technical specifications, and safety standards.
- Ability to identify quality deviations and coordinate corrective actions.
- Good documentation, analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office and maintenance reporting systems.
