Job Purpose

Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members.

Essential duties and responsibilities

· Prepare patients for catheterization, angioplasty, pacemaker implantation and cardiac procedures

· Take patient's vital signs, oxygen levels and heart rhythm

· Ensure patients chart and records are updated

· Monitor patient's vital signs during the procedure

· Administer medication according to the physicians

· instructions before, during and after cardiac procedures





· Assist during emergencies and perform lifesaving procedures

· Adhere departmental safety and quality procedures

Respond to patient concerns and answered questions

· Educate patients on what was involved with the procedure of inserting the catheter

· Implemented infection control practices

· Field duty (Camps, periphery clinics)
