We are looking for an experienced and passionate South Indian Head Chef to join our team at Madras Cafe, Manali.

The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of authentic South Indian cuisine, strong kitchen management skills, and the ability to maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare authentic South Indian dishes, including Dosa, Idli, Vada, Uttapam, Sambar, Rasam, Chutneys, and other regional specialities.
- Develop and manage the South Indian menu.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
- Manage daily kitchen preparation and operations for the South Indian section.
- Supervise and train junior chefs and kitchen helpers.
- Monitor inventory, stock requirements, food wastage, and portion control.
- Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
- Coordinate with the Head Chef and management for smooth kitchen operations.
- Handle high-volume orders efficiently during peak hours.





Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in South Indian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of traditional South Indian cooking techniques.
- Expertise in dosa batter preparation, fermentation, chutneys, and authentic regional flavours.
- Previous experience in a reputed restaurant, hotel, or café preferred.
- Ability to manage kitchen staff and work under pressure.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Passion for food, creativity, and attention to detail.
