Location: Hotel Kiscol Grands, Coimbatore

Job Summary

Responsible for preparing authentic South Indian cuisine, maintaining food quality and consistency, and ensuring hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Prepare a variety of South Indian dishes, including breakfast items, meals, curries, gravies, and traditional specialties.
- Ensure consistent taste, presentation, portion control, and quality of all dishes.
- Monitor ingredient availability, freshness, and proper storage.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen as per hotel standards.
- Follow standard recipes, food safety procedures, and FIFO practices.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and service.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain proper control over raw materials.
- Assist senior chefs in menu planning, buffet preparation, and daily kitchen operations.

Qualifications




- Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts / Food Production is preferred.
- Relevant knowledge of South Indian cuisine and cooking techniques.

Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in hotel or restaurant kitchens, preferably in South Indian cuisine.
- Experience in a reputed hotel is preferred.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of South Indian cuisine and traditional cooking methods.
- Valuable culinary skills, time management, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation.
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate with the kitchen team.
