About us

Thumbi Stories (Void Vector Ventures LLP) creates original Indian children’s storybooks, colouring and activity books with QR audio narration in English, Hindi, Malayalam and other Indian languages. Our books sell on Amazon and thumbistories.com, and our phone-free storytelling device, the Thumbi StoryBox, is on the way. We’re a team of five, and everyone wears many hats. What you’ll do

- Campaign ideas: Come up with fresh campaign ideas for festivals, launches, giveaways and reels, then see them through from idea to posting.
- Creator collaborations: Find Instagram creators and parents with an engaged audience, especially outside Kerala, and call or message them about collabs. Coordinate gift packs and follow up on delivery.
- Maintaining collab relationships: Stay in touch with creators after a collab, track who posted and how it performed, and build a group of creators who want to work with us again.
- Social media: Manage our Instagram day to day. Plan, shoot and edit reels, including appearing on camera. Keep a content calendar and keep the page active and consistent. Support Meta ad campaigns.
- DMs and customer messages: Reply to Instagram DMs, comments and WhatsApp queries every day, quickly and in a friendly way, and turn people who are asking into buyers.
- Distributor and retail sales: Call book distributors, bookstores and retailers. Pitch our books, send samples and follow up.
- Expos and events: Represent Thumbi Stories at expos and startup events together with the team. Help set up the stall, talk to visitors and collect leads.
- Reporting: Share a short weekly update on followers, engagement, collabs done and leads.
- Whatever else the week needs. This is a startup.

What we’re looking for





- At least 1 year of experience in social media or digital marketing, preferably for a consumer brand
- Pages, campaigns or collabs you’ve handled that you can show us
- Full of ideas, with a good sense of what works on Instagram reels
- Can shoot and edit short videos and reels (CapCut, VN, InShot or similar)
- Comfortable appearing on camera in reels and stories for the brand
- Confident on the phone with creators, distributors and retailers, and valuable at following up until you get an answer
- Good spoken and written English; Hindi or Malayalam is a plus
- Willing to travel occasionally with the team for expos and events, within and outside Kerala
- Self-motivated and excited to work at an early-stage startup. Things change fast here, and you’re comfortable figuring things out without waiting for instructions.

Nice to have Experience running Meta (Instagram/Facebook) ad campaigns; an existing network of creators or influencers; experience with kids’, parenting or book brands; Canva.

Location: Our office is in Kottoli, Calicut, opposite Nikshan. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM at the office. Saturdays are work from home.
