Role & responsibilities

- Plan seasonal and festive collections: range planning, line sheets, SKU mix and price points

- Manage sampling, approve fits and track the time-and-action calendar for every style

- Source fabrics, trims and embellishments, and negotiate costs with mills, vendors and job workers

- Do product costing and keep margins on target for each article

- Follow up on production, quality checks and on-time delivery to the warehouse and FBA

- Look after vendors and fabricators, and develop new ones

- Track sell-through, best sellers and inventory, and plan re-orders and markdowns from that data

- Work with the online team on launches, marketplace listings (Myntra, Amazon, etc.) and size charts

- Keep tech packs, BOMs, order sheets and MIS reports up to date

Requirements





- 5-8 years in apparel merchandising, with at least 2 years in a senior role

- Strong experience in women's ethnic, Indo-western or western wear

- Valuable knowledge of fabrics (tissue, satin, organza, crepe, georgette), embroidery, sequin and surface work

- Hands-on with costing, sampling, production follow-ups and quality standards

- Exposure to D2C or e-commerce and marketplace merchandising is a strong plus

- Good with Excel and Google Sheets, and good communication and negotiation skills

- Able to handle several styles at once under tight festive and drop timelines
