Job Summary

The Senior QC Microbiologist is responsible for overseeing microbiological testing and environmental monitoring to ensure product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. The role includes supervising lab activities, handling investigations, ensuring adherence to GMP practices, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Microbiological Testing & Analysis

- Perform and supervise testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and water systems.
- Review and approve test results in line with specifications and regulatory standards.

Environmental Monitoring
- Execute and monitor environmental programs for cleanrooms, air, surfaces, and utilities.
- Analyze trends and identify potential contamination risks.

GMP & Aseptic Practices
- Ensure compliance with GMP, aseptic techniques, and microbiology best practices.
- Maintain proper documentation and data integrity.

Deviation & Investigation (OOS/OOT)
- Lead investigations for OOS, OOT, and contamination issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement CAPA with cross-functional teams.





Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare, review, and maintain SOPs, reports, and lab records.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure regulatory readiness.

Method Validation & Lab Support
- Assist in method validation, method transfer, and equipment qualification.
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of microbiology lab instruments.

Team Handling
- Train and guide junior microbiologists and lab technicians.
- Support team development and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience:
- M.Sc. or B.Sc in Microbiology or related field
- 1–8 years of experience in QC Microbiology (Pharma / API / Chemical industry)
- Strong knowledge of GMP, environmental monitoring, and sterility assurance
- Experience in audits, investigations, and CAPA handling
- Good communication and team management skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
