Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer with strong expertise in SolidWorks, automotive fixtures, jigs, and Special Purpose Machines (SPM). The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and detailing mechanical systems, fixtures, jigs, and automation equipment as per project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop automotive fixtures, jigs, and SPM equipment using SolidWorks.
- Prepare 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and detailed assembly drawings.
- Develop concepts and design solutions based on customer requirements.
- Perform fixture design, clamping arrangements, locating systems, and poka-yoke concepts.
- Prepare BOMs (Bill of Materials) and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, production, assembly, and quality teams.
- Review designs for manufacturability, functionality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Support fabrication, machining, assembly,



and commissioning activities.
- Troubleshoot design-related issues and implement engineering improvements.
- Ensure timely completion of design projects according to specifications.

Required Skills

- Robust working knowledge of SolidWorks 3D modelling and 2D drafting.
- Experience in automotive fixtures, jigs, and SPM design.
- Knowledge of GD&T;, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of pneumatic and mechanical clamping systems.
- Knowledge of machine components, materials, and standard parts.
- Ability to interpret customer drawings and technical specifications.
- Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

- Relevant experience in mechanical design, automotive fixtures, jigs, and SPM.
- Senior-level experience preferred.
