JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Senior Interior Designer with a strong background in commercial interior projects. The ideal candidate should be capable of translating design concepts from discussions with Design Leads/Principals into practical, functional spaces while managing space planning, design development, technical drawings, material selection, and coordination with consultants and project teams. Strong knowledge of materials and interior design elements is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead the design and development of interior projects, including workplaces, offices, commercial spaces, institutional spaces such as schools and colleges, private residential spaces, and hospitality spaces such as hotels and wellness centres.
2. Develop design concepts, space plans, furniture layouts, mood boards, material palettes, and interior detailing.
3. Prepare and review detailed drawings, working drawings, sections, elevations, and design documentation.
4. Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, structural consultants, contractors,



and vendors to ensure design accuracy and meet project requirements.
5. Conduct site visits to review progress, resolve design-related issues, and ensure work aligns with approved drawings and specifications.
6. Select suitable materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and fixtures in accordance with the design intent and project requirements.
7. Manage multiple design deliverables, project timelines, and revisions while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
8. Present design proposals to clients, incorporate feedback, and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
9. Support the team in maintaining design standards, technical accuracy, and consistency across project stages.
10. Coordinate with and lead the BOQ team to prepare accurate and comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) that support the design drawings, facilitate smooth tendering, and minimise rework and non-BOQ items after contractor appointment.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

- Strong understanding of commercial and institutional interior design, space planning, and workplace layouts.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant 3D modelling and presentation software.




- Ability to prepare detailed working drawings and interior construction details.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and interior specifications.
- Understanding of coordination between interior design, architectural drawings, and MEP services.
- Robust design sensibility, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, presentation, coordination, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or an equivalent relevant qualification.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in interior design, preferably involving commercial or corporate interior projects.
- Demonstrated experience in concept development, technical documentation, and consultant coordination.
- A strong portfolio showcasing completed commercial interior projects is preferred.

CANDIDATE PROFILE The ideal candidate will combine creative design thinking with strong technical knowledge and practical project coordination skills. They should be capable of taking ownership of design deliverables, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring that the design intent is translated effectively into execution.
