About Werywin Defence Werywin Defence is a licensed Indian defence manufacturer, building precision small-arms components under Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat. Our licence covers all major NATO, law-enforcement and commercial calibres, and we run our own proof house, ISO 9001-certified quality system. We are a 60-strong team, growing fast, and our Aligarh facility produces high-tolerance defence components such as receivers, barrels, slides, bolts and bolt carrier groups.

Role Description The Senior CAM Engineer – 5-Axis CNC & Multi-Tasking Turn-Mill is a full-time, on-site role based in Aligarh. The person in this position will develop, validate, and optimize CAM programs for complex 5-axis and multi-tasking turn-mill operations, ensuring high-precision machining of defence components. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting mechanical and manufacturing drawings, selecting suitable tooling and cutting parameters, and simulating toolpaths to prevent collisions and improve cycle times.

The role involves close collaboration with design, production, and quality teams to resolve manufacturability issues, support current product introduction, and maintain process documentation. The Senior CAM Engineer will also provide guidance on best practices to machine operators, troubleshoot machining problems on the shop floor, and support continuous improvement in productivity, safety, and part quality.

- 5-axis milling: DN Solutions DVF5000, Feeler VMX-1020, Haas VF-2SS with TRT-210 trunnion
- 3-axis milling: Haas VF-2SS VMCs, SYIL X9 machining centres
- Mill-turn: DN Solutions SMX2100ST multi-tasking turning centre (twin spindle, B-axis head, lower turret), Hyundai WIA SE2200LYA Y-axis turn-mill
- EDM: Wire-cut and Sinker EDM
- Prototyping: Formlabs Form 4 SLA 3D printer





What you will do -

- Program 3-axis, 3+2 and full simultaneous 5-axis toolpaths for prismatic and freeform defence parts on our DN Solutions, Feeler, Haas and SYIL machining centres.
- Program mill-turn work on the DN Solution SMX2100ST and Hyundai WIA SE2200LYA: main/sub-spindle transfer, B-axis and Y-axis milling, live tooling and done-in-one cycles.
- Program wire-cut and sinker EDM jobs, including electrode design for sinker work.
- Choose the right machine and process route for each part to balance accuracy, cycle time and shop load.
- Build and verify full machine simulations (kinematics, holders, fixtures, stock) before any program reaches the machine; zero-crash culture.
- Develop, edit and validate post-processors for Fanuc, and Haas controls, and maintain the shop's post library.
- Prove out programs at the machine with operators: first-article runs, offsets, tool life and in-process probing (Renishaw or equivalent).
- Plan processes end to end: operation sequence, workholding and fixture concepts (including SLA-printed soft jaws), tool selection, cutting data and cycle-time estimates for quotations.
- Hold drawing tolerances in the ±0.005–0.01 mm range on alloy steels, stainless and aluminium; work with QC on CMM results and corrective actions.
- Standardise the CAM library – tool database, templates, feeds and speeds – across every machine.
- Release programs,



setup sheets and revisions under document control with full traceability as required for defence work.
- Mentor junior programmers and operators, and train the team on multi-axis programming practice.

Qualifications

- B.Tech (Preferred) or Diploma in Mechanical, Production or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 8+ years of CNC programming across milling and turning, with at least 3 years hands-on CAM for simultaneous 5-axis and/or multi-tasking mill-turn machines.
- Experience programming machines from more than one builder (e.g. DN Solutions/Doosan, Haas, Mazak, DMG MORI, Hyundai WIA).
- Advanced proficiency in at least one of Solidcam (Preferred), Siemens NX CAM, Mastercam (Mill and Mill-Turn), ESPRIT, or hyperMILL, plus Vericut or equivalent simulation.
- Strong G-code and macro programming on Fanuc and Haas controls; post-processor editing experience.
- Fluent GD&T; reading, tight-tolerance experience and a working knowledge of machining hardened and alloy steels.
- Ownership mindset: you stay with a job at the machine until it runs right.
- Strong mechanical design and engineering foundation, with skills in Mechanical Engineering and Physical Design for precision components and assemblies.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for modeling, drafting, and interpreting complex geometries and tolerances.
- Hands-on experience in a production machining environment, preferably in defence, aerospace, or high-precision manufacturing.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail and a focus on safety and quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with design, production, and quality teams on-site.
