About Adwants

Adwants is a human-centric impact studio (founded 2013) that blends strategy, psychology, neuromarketing, and creativity to build campaigns people actually feel and act on. We work across branding, mainline advertising, digital, motion, and film for brands that want more than pretty work — they want impact.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Art Director who can own the visual language of brands and campaigns from concept to final execution. You’ll lead art direction across print, digital, packaging, and social while collaborating closely with strategy, copy, and production teams. Strong video/motion sensibility is a definite plus.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead art direction and visual concepts for integrated campaigns (mainline, digital, social, packaging).
- Develop distinctive visual identities, campaign systems, and brand worlds that feel human and culturally sharp.
- Guide junior designers and work hands-on when needed to maintain craft excellence.
- Collaborate with strategists, copywriters, and account teams to translate insights into powerful creative.

- Oversee production quality across formats — from print and outdoor to digital assets and brand films.
- Push for ideas that stop the scroll and create genuine emotional or behavioural response.

What We’re Looking For

- 5–8+ years of experience in art direction at an agency (integrated or creative preferred).
- Solid portfolio showing conceptual thinking + high craft across print, digital, and brand work.
- Excellent understanding of typography, layout, colour, photography direction, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to lead and mentor while staying hands-on.
- Video / motion / film art direction experience is a strong plus (TVC, brand films, reels, motion graphics).
- Comfort working in a collaborative, fast-paced, human-first culture.
- Based in or willing to work from Chennai.
- If you love making work that feels as good as it looks and sometimes better, we’d like to see your portfolio.
