Role Description The Senior Academic Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This role is responsible for guiding learners in selecting appropriate courses and career paths, conducting detailed academic and career counseling sessions, and recommending individualized learning plans.

The Senior Academic

Counselor will manage a portfolio of learners, track their progress, and proactively address academic or engagement challenges. Day-to-day tasks include responding to learner inquiries, organizing counseling sessions, collaborating with faculty and operations teams, and maintaining accurate records of counseling interactions and learner outcomes. The role also involves contributing to student retention initiatives, supporting admissions processes, providing feedback to improve course offerings,



and participating in events such as orientations, workshops, and information sessions.

Qualifications

- Strong academic counseling and guidance skills, including experience helping learners choose suitable courses and career paths.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse learners and families.
- Ability to analyze learner profiles, performance data, and career goals to design effective learning and development plans.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple learners, maintain records, and meet counseling timelines.
- Knowledge of current trends in technology, business, data, and digital marketing careers, and understanding of skill requirements in these domains.
- Experience in academic counseling, career services, or student support within an educational institution, training company, or similar environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Career Counseling, Human Resources, or a related field; relevant certifications in counseling or guidance are an advantage.
- Comfort working in an in office, fast-paced environment and collaborating with teaching, admissions, and operations teams.
- Proficiency with basic office software and learner management or CRM tools to document sessions and track progress.
- Commitment to learner success, ethical counseling practices, and maintaining confidentiality of learner information.
