Role: SAP GTS Consultant

Location: Pune

Experience: Between 8 to 12 Years

What You'll Do:

- Lead end-to-end SAP GTS implementation, rollout, enhancement, and transformation projects.

- Conduct requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare support.

- Design and implement Global Trade Compliance solutions covering Compliance Management, Customs Management, Sanctioned Party List Screening, Embargo Checks, Export Control, Import/Export Management, Preference Processing, Risk Management.

- Drive business process harmonization and global template design initiatives.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver compliant and optimized trade solutions.

- Participate in ECC to SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.

- Support SAP GTS integration with SAP S/4HANA landscapes.

- Work on greenfield, brownfield, and selective data transition projects.

- Understand and support RISE with SAP architecture, operating models, and cloud migration strategies.

- Drive SAP best-practice adoption and process standardization initiatives.

- Support cloud transformation and digital modernization programs.

- Provide L2/L3 support for SAP GTS production environments.

- Manage incident resolution, service requests, problem management, and root cause analysis.

- Support business-critical production issues during hypercare and steady-state operations.

- Manage regulatory updates, change requests, and enhancement initiatives.

- Participate in continuous service improvement programs.

- Work closely with SAP SD, MM, TM, EWM, FI/CO, and Logistics teams.

- Collaborate with ABAP teams on RICEFW development and enhancements.

- Support integrations using IDocs, RFCs, Web Services, SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite, Middleware Technologies.

- Coordinate with customs brokers and third-party trade compliance platforms.





- Ensure end-to-end integration quality across complex SAP landscapes.

- Develop functional specifications and technical documentation.

- Create test scenarios and support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and cutover activities.

- Prepare SOPs, knowledge transfer documents, business process documentation, and training materials.

- Support business readiness and user adoption activities.

- Expertise You'll Bring:

- 8–12 years of overall SAP consulting experience.

- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on SAP GTS implementation and support experience.

- Proven experience in at least two full lifecycle SAP GTS implementation projects.

- Strong expertise in SAP Global Trade Services modules and functionality.

- Experience implementing compliance management, customs management, and international trade processes.

- Expertise in Sanctioned Party List Screening, Embargo Checks, Export Control, Import/Export Processing, Preference Determination, Risk Management.

- Robust experience integrating SAP GTS with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.

- Understanding of RISE with SAP concepts and cloud transformation initiatives.

- Experience performing fit-gap analysis, blueprinting, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare support.

- Strong exposure to AMS delivery models, incident management, and production support operations.

- Knowledge of SAP SD integration and associated logistics business processes.

- Experience working with ABAP development teams on custom enhancements and RICEFW objects.

- Understanding of enterprise integration patterns using SAP CPI, APIs, IDocs, and middleware platforms.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.

- Ability to mentor junior consultants and support global delivery teams.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and consulting skills.

- Experience working with distributed and multicultural global teams.
