Experience: 2-4 years in a captain or senior steward role (casual dining or restaurant preferred; North Indian cuisine experience is a plus)

Salary: 20,000 25,000 per month (based on experience)

Roti Kulcha aur Naan is a popular pure-veg North Indian restaurant in HSR Layout. We need a confident, well-organized Captain who can run the dining floor smoothly and make sure every guest has a great experience.

Responsibilities

- Lead the service team (stewards, order takers, and hosts) during each shift
- Welcome guests, seat them properly, and handle table allocation and waiting lists during rush hours
- Explain the menu and make suggestions to guests, including Jain and special-request orders
- Take orders accurately and coordinate with the kitchen, bar, and tandoor for timely delivery
- Monitor every table: service speed, order accuracy, food presentation, and guest satisfaction
- Handle guest complaints and feedback calmly and resolve them on the spot, escalating to the manager when needed
- Assign duties, tables, and stations to the service staff; guide and train recent team members
- Ensure the dining area, tables, and washrooms are clean and set up before opening and after closing
- Handle billing, KOT/POS entries, and cash or digital payments correctly




- Prepare the daily sales report in MS Excel and share it with management on time
- Manage the cash counter: record cash, card, and UPI collections, reconcile them with POS totals, and prepare the daily cash counter report
- Report any cash difference, discount, void, or billing error to the manager promptly
- Coordinate with the manager on reservations, large groups, and special occasions
- Follow hygiene, grooming, and food safety standards, and make sure the team does too
- Share shift feedback, stock or supply needs for the floor, and any issues with management

Requirements

- Experience working as a Captain or Senior Steward in a restaurant
- Working knowledge of MS Excel
- Comfortable handling cash and preparing accurate daily reports
- Good knowledge of Indian menu items, ingredients, and service etiquette
- Strong communication skills in Hindi and English; Kannada is a plus
- Comfortable using POS/billing systems
- Leadership ability, a pleasant manner, and a calm approach under pressure
- Neat grooming and a professional appearance
- Willing to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
