? PhD Position Available | January 2027 Intake | BRIC-RGCB
Can tiny extracellular vesicles reveal the molecular fingerprints of bacterial pneumonia?
We are looking for one motivated and curious PhD student to join our Host–Pathogen Laboratory at BRIC–Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram, India.
? Research Project: Identification of Extracellular Vesicle-Associated Molecular Signatures in Bacterial Pneumonia
Our research explores how extracellular vesicles (EVs) contribute to host–pathogen interactions and how their molecular cargo can be harnessed to identify infection-associated biomarkers.
The selected student will have the opportunity to work at the interface of infection biology, extracellular vesicle research, immunology, and molecular diagnostics, combining cellular and molecular approaches with EV characterization and proteomics.
We welcome enthusiastic candidates with a robust interest in understanding infectious diseases and translating fundamental discoveries into clinically relevant insights.
? One PhD position | January 2027 intake
? Eligibility: Valid national JRF fellowship and fulfilment of BRIC-RGCB PhD admission criteria.
? Application deadline: 8 November 2026, 5:00 PM IST
