About the Role
We are looking for a candidate who can handle both quantity surveying and procurement activities for construction and interior fit-out projects. The role involves preparing BOQs and quantity takeoffs, sourcing materials, evaluating quotations and coordinating with vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review BOQs, quantity takeoffs and cost estimates from drawings and specifications.
- Identify scope gaps, quantity discrepancies and material requirements.
- Read civil, architectural, interior and basic MEP drawings.
- Source vendors and suppliers, issue RFQs and obtain quotations.
- Prepare comparative statements covering prices, specifications, delivery timelines and payment terms.
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with vendors.
- Prepare purchase orders and track material deliveries against project requirements.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure purchased materials match approved specifications and BOQs.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, cost trackers and supporting documentation.
- Monitor vendor performance, material quality and timely delivery.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience covering both quantity surveying and procurement.
- Hands-on experience in BOQ preparation, quantity takeoffs, vendor management and purchasing.
- Basic understanding of MEP drawings is mandatory.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD for quantity takeoffs and drawing interpretation.
- Strong negotiation, communication and coordination skills.
- Experience in commercial construction or interior fit-out projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or NetSuite is an advantage.
Salary: Based on experience and skills. Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
