QUALITY MANAGER

Key Job Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain the plant Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with applicable ISO standards and company requirements.
- Ensure quality control throughout the complete manufacturing process, from incoming raw materials to final inspection and dispatch.
- Establish and monitor quality standards, inspection plans, control plans, SOPs, work instructions, and quality checkpoints.
- Manage incoming, in-process, and final inspection of elevator and escalator components and assemblies.
- Ensure compliance of products with applicable elevator/escalator codes, statutory requirements, customer specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, R&D;, Purchase, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Service teams to resolve quality issues.

Monitor and improve key quality KPIs such as: -First Pass Yield (FPY)

-Rejection and rework

-Customer complaints

-Internal defects

-Supplier defects

-Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)

-On-time closure of corrective actions

· Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, Pareto analysis, and 8D.

· Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and verify their effectiveness.

· Conduct supplier quality audits and supplier performance reviews, and support supplier development activities.

· Manage customer complaints, investigate failures, prepare 8D reports, and ensure timely corrective action.

· Conduct internal process, product, and system audits and ensure closure of audit findings.

· Prepare the plant for customer, certification, regulatory, and third-party audits.

· Ensure proper calibration and control of measuring and testing equipment.





· Review and approve quality-related documentation, inspection reports, test records, non-conformance reports, and deviation/waiver requests.

· Establish and control the Non-Conforming Material (NCM) / rejection management system.

· Drive Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and defect-reduction initiatives.

· Ensure effective implementation of traceability and identification systems for critical components and assemblies.

· Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI), process validation, PPAP/APQP-type activities where applicable.

· Review manufacturing processes for potential quality risks and support FMEA/PFMEA development and improvement.

· Ensure proper control of engineering changes and assess their impact on product and process quality.

Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's degree/diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or related Engineering.

6–15+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, preferably in elevators, escalators, automotive, sheet metal industries, or similar industries.

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, CAPA, RCA, Lean/Six Sigma, and auditing.

Experience in managing a quality team and manufacturing plant quality performance.

Knowledge of relevant elevator/escalator standards and local regulatory requirements is highly desirable.

Candidates from Elevator industry are strongly prefered.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
