As a proofreader/quality controller, you will be responsible for reviewing digital publishing documents, identifying errors, and ensuring content accuracy, formatting consistency, and compliance with project-specific quality standards. Candidates will receive an opportunity to develop practical skills in proofreading, document formatting, quality inspection, and digital publishing workflows. ### ✅ ROLES &

RESPONSIBILITIES ? Proofreading &

- Language Accuracy - Identify spelling, grammatical, punctuation, and typographical errors.
- Perform line-by-line proofreading and content verification.
- Check text consistency, capitalization, abbreviations, and terminology.
- Ensure corrections maintain the original meaning and content integrity. ? Document Formatting &




- Typesetting QC - Verify paragraph alignment, indentation, spacing, and page layout.
- Check headings, subheadings, page numbering, headers, and footers.
- Identify font inconsistencies, formatting deviations, and layout errors.
- Verify tables, lists, references, and other document elements. ? Quality Control &
- Error Tracking - Perform document-level quality checks as per project guidelines.
- Identify, classify, and report errors during quality inspection.
- Maintain quality checklists, error logs, and correction records.
- Ensure corrected files meet the required quality standards.
- Follow QC workflows and achieve accuracy and productivity targets. ? Tools &
- Documentation - Use MS Word for proofreading, Track Changes, formatting, and document review.
- Use MS Excel for QC reports, data entry, error tracking, and productivity records.
- Follow project instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality guidelines. ### ? REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS ✔️ Basic knowledge of proofreading and copyediting ✔️ MS Word – Track Changes, Find &
- Replace, text formatting, and document review ✔️ MS Excel – Data entry, sorting, filtering, and maintaining QC records ✔️ Understanding of typography, page layout, and formatting consistency ✔️ Basic knowledge of quality control (QC), quality assurance (QA),



and error classification ✔️ Good typing skills and computer proficiency ✔️ Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify minor errors ✔️ Willingness to learn publishing workflows and meet project deadlines Added Advantage:

Basic familiarity with e-book formatting, XML/HTML validation, EPUB structure, or digital typesetting quality checks. These skills are an advantage, not mandatory for freshers. ### ? ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA - Any degree holder can apply.
