Summary
Responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and safety of electrical systems, components, and products. The primary role is to implement and maintain quality control (QC) processes, test electrical designs, and verify that electrical products meet required standards, regulations, and specifications - Vital in maintaining product integrity and improving processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement QC Procedures: Design and enforce quality control procedures for electrical products and systems. Set up inspection, testing, and validation procedures to ensure compliance with standards.
- Testing and Inspection: Conduct tests on electrical systems, circuits, and components to verify performance against specifications. Identify any defects or non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions. Use specialized testing equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, and automated testing systems.
- Compliance with Standards and Regulations: Ensure products meet industry standards (e.g., IEC,ISA, ANSI, UL) and local regulatory requirements. Conduct audits to ensure compliance with international standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
- Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving: Investigate failures or defects in electrical products and troubleshoot issues. Work with design engineers to resolve quality issues related to product design or materials.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of testing results, inspections, and quality control reports.
Prepare and deliver presentations or reports to senior management on product quality status.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve the manufacturing or design process to enhance quality and reduce defects. Implement corrective actions based on data-driven analysis to optimize production lines.
Preferred Skills:
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, circuit design, and testing methodologies.
- Testing and Measurement: Proficiency with testing equipment and tools used to evaluate electrical systems and components.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze problems, perform root cause analysis, and recommend solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Solid focus on precision and accuracy in testing, inspection, and documentation.
- Knowledge of Standards: Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, IEC, UL, and other relevant safety and performance standards.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to document findings and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, management, and customers.
- Analytical Tools: Experience with data analysis tools and software for quality control (e.g., SPC, Six Sigma tools).
Qualifications and Education
