1.Quality Inspection and Control Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace mechanical components. Inspect CNC-machined, turned, milled, fabricated, and precision-engineered components as per engineering drawings and specifications. Verify dimensional accuracy using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and dial indicators.
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, and technical specifications. Coordinate with CMM operators and review dimensional inspection reports. 2.
Aerospace Quality Standards
Ensure compliance with applicable quality management standards, including AS9100 and ISO 9001. Follow customer-specific quality requirements and aerospace documentation procedures. Maintain traceability of raw materials, components, batches, and inspection records. Verify material test certificates (MTC), certificates of conformity (CoC), and other required quality documents.
- Non-Conformance and Corrective Actions Identify, document, and control non-conforming products and processes. Prepare and follow up on non-conformance reports (NCRs). Conduct root cause analysis using methods such as 5 Why and Fishbone Analysis. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and verify their effectiveness. Support rejection analysis and customer complaint resolution. 4.
Quality Documentation
Prepare and maintain inspection reports, first article inspection reports (FAIR), and quality records.
Support First Article
Inspection in accordance with applicable customer requirements and AS9102, where specified. Maintain control plans, inspection plans, check sheets, and process quality records. Ensure proper calibration and traceability of measuring and testing equipment. 5.
Process
Improvement and Audits Monitor manufacturing processes to reduce defects, rework, and scrap. Participate in internal, supplier,
and customer quality audits. Support process capability studies, statistical process control (SPC), and continuous improvement activities. Coordinate with production, design, procurement, and supplier quality teams to resolve quality issues.
- Supplier and Customer Quality Support supplier quality inspections and incoming material verification. Review supplier inspection documents and material certifications. Coordinate with customers during inspections, quality reviews, and audits. Ensure timely closure of customer complaints and quality-related corrective actions.
