Key Responsibilities:

- Procure construction materials such as cement, steel, sand, aggregates, bricks/blocks, tiles, plumbing, sanitary, electrical, hardware and waterproofing materials.

- Receive material indents/requisitions from project and site teams.

- Obtain quotations from multiple suppliers and prepare Comparative Statements (CS).

- Negotiate price, quality, payment terms and delivery schedules with vendors.

- Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers.

- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) after required approvals.

- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, Stores, QS, Accounts and Finance teams.

- Follow up with vendors and transporters to ensure timely delivery to project sites.

- Monitor pending POs, stock availability and material requirements.

- Check material quantity and specifications against approved requirements.

- Resolve issues related to shortages, rejected materials, quality discrepancies and delayed deliveries.

- Verify vendor invoices against POs and delivery documents and coordinate with Accounts for payment.

- Maintain vendor database, quotation records, POs, delivery records and procurement documentation.





- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly Purchase MIS and cost reports.

- Monitor market prices and identify opportunities for cost reduction and alternative materials.
