We are hiring a Program Manager to lead a high-visibility, externally facing program from first conversation to signed agreement and onward delivery. You will be the single point of coordination between Scapia and a set of public-sector and institutional stakeholders, and between those stakeholders and our design, product and technology teams.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is equally at ease in a government office, a working session with subject-matter experts, and a sprint review. You will work closely with senior leadership.
What you will do
- Own the external relationships. Build and maintain trusted working relationships with senior stakeholders across government and public institutions, at central and state level.
- Drive agreements to signature. Lead the drafting, negotiation and sign-off of formal agreements, working with our legal team and the other side’s approvers, and keep the process moving through review cycles.
- Line up subject-matter experts. Identify, engage and coordinate domain and language experts,
and manage their reviews so that content is verified for accuracy before it goes out.
- Run delivery end to end. Turn the plan into milestones, owners and timelines; track dependencies and risks; and keep a explicit, honest status for leadership and partners.
- Rally internal teams. Align design, product and technology on priorities, requirements and trade-
offs, and make sure external inputs reach the right team in a usable form.
- Handle approvals and permissions. Navigate the approval chains, formalities and documentation that come with working alongside public bodies.
- Protect confidentiality.
Treat all program information as confidential, share it on a need-to-know basis, and set the right expectations with partners and vendors.
- Report and escalate. Give leadership regular updates, flag issues early with options, and close out actions.
What you bring
- 3–5 years of experience in program or project management, partnerships, business development or public affairs.
- A record of taking multi-party initiatives from idea to signed agreement and then to delivery.
- Comfort with formal documents: you can read an agreement closely, frame the commercial and operational points, and work effectively with legal counsel.
- Strong stakeholder management: patient, tactful and persistent with senior people, and able to earn trust in slow, process-heavy environments.
- Experience coordinating experts and reviewers outside the company, and managing quality and turnaround.
- Cross-functional leadership without formal authority: you can align design, product and technology teams around a shared plan.
- Excellent written and spoken communication in English and Hindi; additional Indian languages are an advantage.
- Structured, organised and detail-oriented, with a bias for follow-through.
- Sound judgement and discretion with sensitive information.
- Willingness to travel as the work requires.
Good to have
- Prior experience in travel, culture, media, education or another field that works with public institutions.
- Familiarity with content, localisation or translation workflows.
- Experience working with design and technology teams in a product company or start-up.
- Working knowledge of intellectual property and licensing basics.
