ABOUT US

SPEZL is a printed electronics company in Mumbai. We screen-print functional inks onto fabric, film and glass to make printed heaters, sensors, antennas and wearable electrodes for partners in India and abroad. Our own brand, iðoona, makes heated apparel on the same technology. We are a small team, so your work turns into real products quickly.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will turn printed heaters and sensors into products people wear and use every day. Much of your first year goes into iðoona heated apparel: battery pockets, connectors, cable routing, and making it all survive the wash. You will also design enclosures and mechanical parts for our B2B partners. You will work directly with the founder.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Take products from first sketch to production drawings
- Build fast prototypes with 3D printing, laser cutting and hand work, then test them
- Design pockets, connectors and cable routing that survive washing and daily wear
- Solve the hard joins, where stiff electronics meet soft fabric
- Design for manufacturing with moulders, sheet metal shops and garment makers
- Create drawings, BOMs and specs that vendors can build from
- Take part in user trials and turn feedback into design changes

WHAT YOU BRING




- You are an independent learner. Much of this work is not covered in formal education, so you pick up new materials, tools and methods on your own initiative.
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, or B.Des in Product Design

- SolidWorks or Fusion 360
- Design for moulding, tolerances and engineering drawings
- Hands-on prototyping skills
- A portfolio you can walk us through. College and personal projects count.

- Formula Student, BAJA or similar team experience
