Qualification

Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related discipline with a robust research background in advanced materials, surface engineering, tribology or materials processing.

Candidates with a strong publication record in reputed SCI/Scopus journals will be preferred.

Core Research Areas: Advanced materials development,



including high-entropy alloys (HEAs), composite materials and functionally graded materials; surface engineering and materials processing; tribology, and data-driven/ML-assisted optimization.

Research Emphasis: Understanding processing–microstructure–property–performance relationships for tribological, structural and defence-related engineering applications.

Collaboration: The selected candidate will have opportunities to work with interdisciplinary research groups and national/international academic and research collaborators.
