Role Description The Political Photographer is a full-time, on-site role based in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. The role involves planning and executing photo coverage of political events, campaigns, press conferences, community meetings, and field activities. Day-to-day tasks include capturing high-quality images in dynamic environments, coordinating with campaign or communications teams, and ensuring timely delivery of edited photos for digital, print, and social media use.

The Political

Photographer will maintain equipment, organize and archive images, and adhere to ethical and safety guidelines while working in public and sometimes high-pressure settings. Collaboration with writers, designers,



and digital strategists to develop visually cohesive narratives is a key part of the role.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in political and event photography, including shooting in quick-paced and unpredictable environments.
- Proficiency with professional camera equipment, lighting, and basic video capabilities is preferred.
- Experience with photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom) and digital asset management tools.
- Ability to tell compelling visual stories that align with political messaging and organizational values.
- Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Comfort working on-site at political events, public gatherings, and field locations, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to ethical journalism and respectful representation of individuals and communities.
- Relevant experience in political photography, photojournalism, or campaign communications; a portfolio demonstrating prior work is required.
- Degree or formal training in photography, visual communications, or related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
